I think the problem with this article is that he is assuming that the sole purpose in blogging is to make money or get thousands of readers.While I wouldnt mind a little cash, I don't expect it at all, especially since wordpress doesnt allow advertising on blogs they host. As for readers, I hope to eventually get a lot... but my real reason for blogging is that I love music, books and computers, and I need an outlet for that love. Thats why I make at least one post a week, and try to do as many as my schedule allows.

I could have done with this list when I started my regular news and views site in 1996 that eventually evolved into the Sciencebase blog - <a class="user" href="http://www.sciencebase.com/science-blog/index.php">http://www.sciencebase.com/science-blog/index.php</a> (Yes, I know the domain name was registered only in 1999, but the site existed elsewhere for three years before that)

Very good advice for old and new bloggers. Anyone who has a blog can probably learn something from this article to help make their blog better and bring more traffic to it as well as keep the readers who've already found them.
