extremetech.com — Extremetech makes the case that the CPU business isn't all rosy. AMD was unable to lock down Dell, Intel couldn't reach 5GHz, let alone 4GHz, and now they're toting performance per watt versus performance per clock! Oh, how it all changes...

Couldnt reach 4 or 5 Ghz? Have you heard of anything called leakage? Its a big problem when reaching speeds that fast. The dual core proc is the greatest thing to hit home PC's especially when the programs are made to take advantage of them. Read up before you beleive the hype. No Digg

I would like to see cooler CPUs and use less power. Video cards are worse. Too much power and heat!!

Astrotrain : I agree custom made from a brand it overprice long term, but for someone change computer every year doesn't make any hurt. Lot's of custom made computer from brand make for the begginner the best deal, because is always a part of dubious choice, unless you know computer, and do it yourself, you cannot be sure is gonna be what you want. That include I was screwed with no brand, with AMD discontinue Palamino core.
