Really? Last I checked its the PS3 that has the reputation for not having enough good games... not the wii. Its the wii htat has the greater amount of higher rated games. Try again.
I've been really hooked on sonic and the secret rings recently. It's the first 3d sonic game I could actually stand, and some of the levels are just out of this fscking world.Like the pirate one, where you end up on a board surfing these giant tidal waves! what a fscking rush.
My wife and I picked up Boogie last night -- it's definitely shallow, in the way of most music games, and yes, it's aimed at a younger demographic, but it's still a lot of fun. At least it's the first Wii EA game we're BOTH likely to play since we each finished Godfather: Blackhand Edition. Impressions: Microphone has a nice long cord, so even though I still wish it was wireless it hasn't really been an issue. The karaoke frequency analysis is a little unstable and laggy, and I wish there was a way to turn the assist vocals off altogether because some of the soundalikes don't. The dance mode is more challenging than I expected, because it requires some precision and doesn't let you just repeat the same moves -- the points you earn per on-beat move start to drop off if you get lazy, so it encourages you to change it up. The weakest aspect is the "video editor" -- the effects can't be layered and there's no real camera control, so it's strictly a toy and I don't expect to see any machinema coming out of Boogie. Still, who knows? Maybe some kid somewhere will get interested in this, graduate to some real tools and have a career.I think the Easy difficulty is loose enough to be playable by the whole family, clearly a goal here. And the bright, colorful cartoon style works well on the Wii. The song selection is decent -- quite a few songs for my 80's-nostalgia moods, a proper unlocking mechanism, and I'm enjoying being forced to learn some interesting new tunes like Baila Me.I don't expect Boogie to be a huge seller, but as the first seriously music-oriented title on the Wii, and an exclusive at that, I think it's a decent value for $60 (USB microphone included.) Certainly a better investment than High School Musical: Sing It! is likely to be.

There were 3D polygon games on the SNES and Genesis/32X. What's your point?
