Well, it's Canadian dollars... so, in 1995 that would have converted to 68-70 US dollars. Also, a lot of the price had to do with the cost of manufacturing cartridge games. That's one of the reasons the Nintendo 64 had trouble competing with the Playstation.... but it was still a bit high.
