stltoday.com — Scammer pleaded guilty to conspiracy, mail fraud and wire fraud in federal court in East St. Louis. The scam involved sending out a credit card offers to people that had previously been denied a credit card. At least 165,141 people accepted the offer and paid a steep acceptance fee from $150 to $500 dollars. All they got was an unfunded debit card.
