blog.scifi.com — Of course, anything this cool would have to be a concept, but one with an amazing twist: its designer, Andrew Kim, is just 15 years old. This kid's in high school, for crying out loud, and he's pulling off design concepts that would put the pros to shame, complete with detailed spec sheets.

i'm with sonycam and gklitt...looks like he photoshopped an iphone and a ds lite together. i don't think this would put other designers to shame, as the posts suggest. apple came out with their design back in january. how hard is it to take it a step further? but not bad for a 15 year old kid. hope he keeps trying.

so this kid rebrands a DS lite as a phone and it's innovative? No wonder you people are so excited over the Prada phone or Blackjack....Weak

Enough has been said, but- yes, nice presentation for a 15-year old. Any savvy adult could design a concept phone of their particular dreams. I could design one even better than his, I say! But his presentation material was quite nice; commendable for the average kid-of-the-age. Actually quite important in the real world: to pitch your idea effectively. Well done dude.

I really don't see how it's so impressive that he's 15.

I've got a better idea - how about a phone that is.....wait......just a phone. No camera, no texting, no other bulls**t. Just a plain phone with a LONG battery life? I'm tired of having to charge my phone every day because of the useless crap I've been forced to purchase because someone thinks its the next big thing. Yeah, the color screens are nice, but still useless. Multiple ring tones is nice, but still nothing special. Now if someone could come up with a phone that would let me use the voice calling features with numbers I've saved to my SIM card, then great, I'll be the first in line.Anyway, just my $0.02

not bad. i hate touch screen though. also he mentions no memory is built in and only SD card is used. there must be some memory built in for the phones application itself though right.....

Where is that spec sheet the OP talked about?

I'll go as far as impressive. The comments people made are hard to take seriously when they spell design with "desing" and jealous with "jelaous."

I'd have to agree with Scrabbydoo. The product placement and advertisement isn't bad, but the product isn't very appealing or practical. The size and scale of the phone, not to mention touch screen would be a pain.
