I know you're just screwing around, but in that situation you'd be better off with a telescope. Those large lenses are large because they have to be to let enough light into the sensor. I have a 70-200 myself (nothing like these guys), but based on the size and weight, people often think I can take celestial photos with the damn thing even though I have trouble catching stuff more than twenty feet away from me as well as I could.
I'm not getting all "riled up." I'm just saying that the mirror lens you posted doesn't even compare to the sigma from the article. That's like comparing a first generation celeron proc to the latest and greatest. Regardless, it doesn't matter as neither of us is interested in purchasing either lens, as was obvious in your sarcasm.
I don't know I think the ring bokeh is sorta neat. Wouldn't want it all the time, but it might be nice if I'm feeling artsy. Not all your images have to be super ultra optically perfect, pros use Holgas all the time, whats wrong with a reflex lens?An example of the fancy bokeh:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ed_gaillard/359311134 ...
America must answer back with a scale model Veritech! Or we can just say f**k it all and do the Lion version of Voltron. For the sake of jobs, and stuff...
