i could understand "high" as in reefer. But driving drunk is just stupid.(PS: even the US dept of transportation states that the level of impairment for cannabis requires a level of ingestion most people don't reach... as opposed to alcohol, which only takes one or two shots to be impaired)
I don't know about 15%, but they do deserve one for sure. They're using their own cars and paying for their own gas (reason I wouldn't pay 15 is because every place I order from is within a 2 minute drive, so I pay the slight lazy fat kid tax)
He didn't just walk to the counter and bring the food to your table. He drove in the real world directly to your door. The restaurant waiter actually does less for the tips.
# 10 is so true."The more gated the community, the more guarded the wallet." waited tables at TGIF for a year and they were the worst tippers, the kids tipped better!
uh.. yeah... you're holding people ransom under threat of contaminating their food for a handout?I call shenanigans. there are plenty of people working worse jobs who don't get tips and it's completely arbitrary that because you served someone food that they paid full price for, you deserve some kind of special fee.you are employed to do a job for an hourly wage. some people shovel manure, you deliver pizzas. if you aren't happy with the money you make SELL YOURSELF TO A HIGHER PAYING POSITION. don't bellyache about how you hate the job you went out of your way to apply for and try to weasel money from customers for no reason other than you'll threaten to spit in their food. like, for f**ks sake, when is the last time you heard a Network Administrator ask for 5 dollars each time he set up your network and threatened to throttle your bandwidth if you didn't? or the teller at EB waiting for two dollars in his tip jar while waiving your game disc threateningly?I seriously have yet to hear a valid argument to why food service is any more entitled than any other service job outside than it's considered customary and has no real validation, nowadays.
full info on tipping--- 1) its not a delivery charge its a store service charge--- 2) the driver gets 0-35% of that charge the comp. gets the rests--- 3) cost of divery is gas,car expenses, and the preping, making, washing of your dishes, taking your order and oh ya bringing it to you as far as the driver(just so you know he dosnt just drive) and for the comp. extra ins. and a average of 20min of min. wadge pay--- so no tip means driver makes less than min. wadge---why charge? not realy fair to pay the same amount as carry out people pay---the comp pays $2.25 average pay plus higher work comp ins. to have dilvery servace available to you and the driver has $2.25 average expenses to get it to you- he gets payed min. wadge so no tip means he makes less than min. wadge--- so if you dont like the fee and tipping you can talk to corperat about there policy, get it yourself or keep the driver(and his son) in poverty cus. the driver is the only one you can hurt never the comp. but thats life the rich get richer by making the poor poorer(im a single dad and i cant afford to order a pizza,,,sorry son)i just wish i could get a tax deduction for doing charity work cust i feel like meals on wheels not a delivery person and thats just sad!!!
