I haven't used my real name on any of the sites I belong to. Nor do I feel I have to. If they want to exclude me from their club, (which they haven't yet), then so be it. I'd rather have a moniker than use my real name. People who know me know who I am. Other people don't need to know my name.
"You chose (or the choice was made for you by your parents/guardians) to be homeschooled. Why do you feel that society should reward anti-social behavior? "Not wanting to be abused on a daily basis does not qualify as anti-social behavior. Also, what social skills do you learn in school that you wouldn't otherwise learn in community events, special interest group meetings and other venues that serve as a substitute for school?
I think you meant to say it the other way around. Facebook is years ahead of MySpace. They took what MySpace was doing wrong, improved on it and added many modern features that MySpace lacks.
I found out today, that I have had my account disabled. The only thing more ridiculous than it being disabled is the reason why. I posted on my friends wall. No innapropriate messages or content mind you, just a talk with a friend. NOTHING in their TOS says I can't talk to my friends, NOTHING in their TOS says I can't post on my friends walls. I have yet to receive anything close to an intelligent reason as to why I can't post on my friends walls. All I get is, "you post too fast." Well, what are the limits or rates at which we are allowed to post I ask, "Well, we can't tell you that, but you exceeded it." What kind of policy is this exactly? They can't expect people to abide by the usage rules, when they refuse to make those rules available.http://fascistbook.wordpress.com/
I thought Facebook was priding itself on being a site which values and honors the right to free speech and the free exchange of ideas and thoughts between friends, family and the world community. I am always conscious of their terms of service and I never get confrontational or use offensive langauge in my posts.Last night I posted a couple of remarks about my views on healthcare and many others remarked on my page.. I also posted a YouTube video about healthcare.. I awoke thiis morning to find that my Facebook account had been deleted. I had almost 2500 friends and over 2 years worth of blogs in my notes and several hundred photos on this site. I was very active and never misused the online forum. Coincidently, I got a certified email today from the White House..from the President's Senior Advisor regarding the proposed health care plan.. I find this very interesting ..especially in this current climate..so...what is Facebook up to and is Washington really watching us? These are heated times indeed and we don't need to lose our voices. Stan M.

Why would they want you to give them so much personal info? This explains a lot.http://albumoftheday.com/facebook/
