How are these e-commerce applications rated security wise? Anyone have any experience? When I see Wordpress plugin I get a nagging feeling if you know what you mean.
Yeh, it ain't pretty....Otherwise, great list. :-)Funny, there are two spinoffs of OSCommerce... Zen Cart was built by old OSCommerce developers as well.
I've used OSC in the past - nice and easy to get around in, even if you're not a programmer. It does have a very generic look to it however, and unless it's been heavily customized it's way too easy to look at a site and go "Hey, that's an OSC site!"
Agreed that Wordpress is pretty great. Also, for e-commerce and ERP needs that start to grow more complex, the Apache Software Foundation offers Open For Business (OFBiz), which is an amazing suite of integrated applications including e-commerce.

Most of these are PHP/MySQL based. Are there any that are Zope-based or Ruby on Rails based?

I'm not sure OS commerce is that great, I prefer this eshop, simple but effective http://www.cardsave.net/eshop-in-a-box
