We all know about the political payoffs that are made to get bills passed. But, in this case, we are not talking about a grant of $100 million for a new library or project. Here, we are talking about making the residents of one state immune to payments for medicaid in perpetuity, while others have to pay more so that the deal can be accommodated. This is something that you are OK with? So, what if Obama decided that, in order to court the Hispanic vote, he would make Hispanic citizens immune from income taxes for the next eight years? That's OK, too?

similarly, because it is a democratic bill, none of the democratic AG's want to challenge it based on the law.

Don't forget about the few republicans that wanted congress to be covered by the same health care... but congress will have no part of that !This health care bill must be good for the American people, Huh !

Either that or Obama is willfully letting them go without protest.Far easier to let someone else do the dirty work.
