engadget.com — We've been operating under the assumption that Apple will call their new consumer line of laptops MacBook, as opposed to the pro line of MacBook Pro. Maybe we just spend too much time thinking about Apple's naming schemes, and this probably doesn't change anything.

asus, the company that makes asus laptops, obviously, is going to be redesigning the ibook... errr macbook (non-pro). i can't wait to see what they look like.i wonder what they'll call the powermac? the powerbook is now known as the macbook pro, or mcbook pro. i wonder if they'll call it the mcmac? hey, that kinda has a ring to it!

I have a huge honkin server case desktop (windows) and a 12" powerbook.It's great not having to compromise between mobility and power - I have one machine that does one thing well, and another that does another thing well.Something tells me, when I grow up, I'm going to own a pickup truck and a little sporty car...
