@YodaThe point is that one very bright young person took those components that would have continued to be used for important but far less revolutionary tasks and had a different and successful plan on how to assemble them. Others came before him... others came after. He did not work in a total vacuum and he was not the originator the components.Who cares! He (and his business savvy partner) changed the way you and I interact with the world. For all we know, if he had not been successful I would be typing this on an IBM terminal leased through AT&T.People love to say that personal computers in this form factor were inevitable... if you had given the large corporations another decade to understand and control the technology... I am not so sure. We will never really know.Praise the independent spirit... on rare occasion, they can do things that large teams of people cannot. So here is my question... Does the application of science annoy the people that create it if they don't get credit for the underlying work? I am getting a vibe here...Believe me, I would understand if it did. As a musician in the age of remix and mash-up artists who are seen as equals to the people that created the source material, I think I can draw a parallel.btw, I saw the kids presentation in comparison to the flash animation from Georgia Tech so I am clued in to the fact that he seems to be guilty of vile asshaberdashery.
