techradar.com — The unusual thing about netbooks is that unlike almost any other piece of technology created, those involved in their manufacture and marketing try their best to downplay their abilities. The reason is vested interest: if folks start using their netbooks as gaming or media machines, it could significantly hurt sales of full fat laptops.

I'm glad WoG made the list. That game is epic. But yeah, I've been debating getting one. Anyone have any good, cheap ones they like? And it'll mainly be for taking note at school, I have my desktop for my gaming needs.

Starcraft is also a good one they missed. You can get the Battle Chest package (Starcraft, the Brood War expansion, and two strategy guides) on Amazon for $20. Really, you can play any game from over 5 years ago. Doom, Half Life, the original Warcrafts, Deus Ex, Neverwinter Nights. You could gen a NES or SNES emulator and play all those good games. If you get a Linux netbook, you can just go to Add/Remove Programs, click the Games tab and sort by popularity. They have some pretty good ones like Nexus and Alien Arena. It can also play the games above with Wine.

Dugg for Robokill and Peggle, but how did they miss the Diablo series?
