thewisdomjournal.com — By the time I was 22, I knew who I wanted to marry, was in the process of quitting college, going into debt, and thought that I would be a millionaire by the time I was 30 because I was so smart. If I could go back in time, here are a few items I would tell my 22 year old self.

If you are canadian, #6 should read: Keep a good chunk of your investments in a form that you can quickly turn into cash, because if you have a major medical problem, you are going to need to go down to the US to have it taken care of if you do not want to wait around for 5 years.

Well, I hope you're not under the assumption that everyone has read the book.

"And though I agree staying in college is usually a very good idea, it's not a death knell to leave. Both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are college dropouts." So are at least 2 homeless guys by my work. I was in the same situation with the tech bubble. But it picked up a few years later. So while some situations might make dropping out okay. Long term getting a degree/diploma is always better. Steve and Billy were both lucky. Bill got a break from IBM while Steve met Woz. Without these two incidents I don't think anyone would care about jobs and MS may not be the huge software giant we see today. Not everyone is so lucky to get such breaks. Not everyone has upper class families to help out as well.

as for rule #5:"5. Learn how to negotiate a better deal on everything. Having read several books on negotiation just a little too late, I?ve recognized how I was duped by many people, mostly used car sales people..."As a salesman, negotiation is our job. We read those books too so all I can say is bring it lol. You're paying for value, if you get them to drop the price to where there is no profit on the car, gragrats to you for helping someone work FOR you, for FREE. (i'm talking about fairly priced dealers)

Im glad it pissed you off "Sprung".For those that take my post the wrong way, only god can help you.But for those that see the true Gold in this post Congratulations!I swear you'll be on the right road for true success. There's a little light inside of everyone that KNOWS they deservebetter. Some of us ignore that little light and some us always try follow it.Those that follow it will find thier dream lives waiting at the end. Those that ignore it, are actually scared. Scared of society. So they'll always try follow society in order to "feel apart of" it.Yet they'll always live in fear.I would pitty you "Sprung".Ahhh,... but I don't.You must be in desperate need of a wake up call.Good luck with your dead end job :)

First, nice try COPYING this from <a class="user" href="http://www.skeptically.org/againstreligion/id3.html">http://www.skeptically.org/againstreligion/id3.htm ...</a> . As you will see I sought out my references on my own and did not copy and paste something already posted all over the internet.Second, regarding this work that is not your own, I can point out a few fallacies and misconceptions. A fallacy that I can immediately see is that the author of this (ie not you) tags on the death penalty to many of the verses to which it does not belong. An example is number 8. Leviticus 19:27 says nothing about killing men that disobey this mandate. Now the misconception: ALL of this work's references are taken from Exodus and Leviticus sections which deal with law for Israel. This law when contrasted with the customs of other nations at the time is quite different. Let me clarify number 2. The actual verse reads: "21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do." Servants are quite different than slaves. Maidservants even had the opportunity to marry men in the houses in which they served: 21:9 "And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters." Isn't that cool that a maidservant can become the daughter of a rich man? This means her parents would be taken out of poverty with the dowry. Read the book of Ruth for a specific story that outlines the power of this kind of law in the day and the positive outcomes it produced. If you want me to explain any others let me know. Otherwise, please don't submit things about which you know nothing, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE NOT YOUR OWN THOUGHTS.

Don't think I am reading all that crap. Your posts are irrelevant. You have yet to provide one arguable point in all of your BS drivel.Really, you're wasting your time, not mine. Yes, I did "copy and paste", right from the Bible (KJV). Again you can ignore what you will out of the Bible, you can interpret as you will but you have yet to show ANY reasonable explanation as to how or why.So until then, STFU!------------You have been warned...----------------BTW, love that "free will" s**t logic!

Many of us get into debt issues that is just a fact. So this is great advise and if you end up in debt do everything to get out of debt.I went here to simplyfinance and in 2 years i am debt free. It feels so good not to have that weight on my back. <a class="user" href="http://www.simplyfinance.co.uk/articles/articles/Debt/Seeking_Debt_Advice.html">http://www.simplyfinance.co.uk/articles/articles/D ...</a>
