We're really only seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding the new workplace. Cloud computing helps with decentralizing the workplace, but it also brings down the expense of setting up a business. Less software to buy... Less rent to pay on a huge office space... employees shouldering the price of utilities by working from home... the list goes on. In the end, it's a benefit to employees and employers alike.
This has to be by far the best, most practical article I have found about why we should be embracing technology and not skirting away from it. Everyone needs to read this! Have to admit I was tempted to print it out and send to my friends, but feel ridiculous now after his little attack on people who do that (me).
