So limit the terms of service. Currently the army is doing all the work in training, taking all the cost. The soldier serves a minimum gets out and rejoins as a contractor and earns ten times his original salary for doing the same job. Meanwhile he is less accountable so creates more of a mess which means you have to spend even more. The company he works for is all the while screwing you for either dime it can muster in expenses. The idea that contractors in the military are cheaper or more effective is the product of either a retarded mind or a dishonest one. Certainly it is not one grounded in this dream called reality.
infocyde is right. Southerners do NOT live by the mantra "Don't question the Bible, Don't question the President". Some might, but some northerners, or westerners might as well. Just because someone wants to serve their country does not mean they follow the President unquestioningly. Maybe they just figure that if there are going to be American boots in a bad situation, they can join their countrymen and try to make the best of it. Please, show a little respect for people who put their lives on the line for this country, whether or not they're being used effectively.
f**k you, nonchai. You many soldiers do you know, or work with. You should thank them, no matter what you think of the war. They're doing more than you've done with your pathetic little life, sitting safe behind a computer, never knowing what real danger is. So yeah, go f**k yourself.
One Solution.. Ron Paul.. GO see who The Military Men and Women gave thier money to.. Or I'll Tell You it was Ron Paul.. Oh and I support the Military but heres an idea.. The pioneers of a warless world are the young men (and women) who refuse military service. - Albert Einstein
Stop spending defense money on private contracts and the American army wouldn't only be the best funded army, it'd be better funded than a lot of countries.
The united States has not fought a war for "their country" since the War Between the States. Every war since has been fought for the international bankers. Read General Smedley Butler's War is a Racket and then read Billions for the Bankers. Both easy to find and already recommended in this thread. Our soldiers are NOT fighting for their country, or freedom, or any other ethereal concept, but are fighting a bankers war for dominance and oil.
