enthusiast.hardocp.com — HardOCP had hoped the newer ATI driver revisions would improve performance on the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT. Sadly the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT is not even a match for even the much less expensive and much less power hungry 320 MB GeForce 8800 GTS when it comes to real world gaming at 1600x1200 resolutions and above.

Article title is inaccurate, the 2900 XT outperformed the 8800 GTS 320MB.Still, the 8800 GTS line is the best value NVidia has out at the moment. You get a lot of bang for the buck (I have the 320MB one, it runs great).

@ TaxerDiggerRTFA. It had a link to the system specs which was exactly the same as what they used in the previous 2900XT review.

You're right, except you're talking about wrong price ranges,what we are showing here is that for a 120 bucks less you get the same and even sometimes better performance!.even with the cards you mentioned, if you compare the prices you see that you always get better for cheaper from nvidia!
