Man, the Paris Hilton vid really makes one think, no matter how exclusive or deluxe a Hollywood party may be, it's still just the same s**tty frat party.
I guess they aren't poignant if you choose not to think about the people in them as human beings, instead of just props for your amusement. That's kind of the point of the article, that moments like this tend to humanize people who are, by nature of their careers, routinely objectified. I thought it was one of Cracked's better articles, and touched on some points that needed to be made. Sad and funny at the same time.
