stealthcomputer.com — I think this is the keyboard used by villians from James Bond movies, solely to show off how fiendishly evil they are. "My keyboard costs $1000. Why? Because I am an evil madman!" Even after reading the specs I'm still not sure why it costs so much. Surely stainless steel and silicone rubber aren't THAT expensive?

Ps/2 is still very common in the workplace. At work I have to use Windowes 98 because of the machine I control with it will only talk to a 16bit system. Since we don't need newer machines we don't have them.

It's meant for industrial use, not gaming or home use. Everything is this expensive if it's going to hold up in a harsh factory environment.

Um...these keyboards are used in the "Career Center" at wal-mart where you fill out the application....

Also in NYC's Nintendo store in a kiosk on the second floor.

I have bought a couple of these for work and they are awesome. They are in a tunnel though and are covered in dirt and water most of the time. You cannot break them. As for the price, it's worth it. When being down for one hour costs thousands of dollars, the $1000 price tag is easy to justify. I can't count the number of cheap keyboards and protective bage we trid before buying the stealth keyboards. Haven't looked elsewhere in the past 4 years since.

they have that at a public workstation at the new University Center @ IIT, the building by Rem Koolhas and gang.No wonder new buildings cost so much when they use a $1200 keyboard rather than a $12 one!

Strange they didn't use 316 for it's more corrosion-resistant properties.

"it can operate at up to 18 degrees below poiling point. WHO USES A KEYBOARD WHEN IT'S 194 DEGREES OUT????"When your desktop is in your personal volcano hideout, seems reasonable.
