i've been thinking today about what i think is the same interview and have been looking for 1/2 hr for any reference to it at all, anywhere..none found, until finally after googlng- 'beck throws boot knocking down set interview', i found your two lines here as suggestion for top awkward interviews. what i remember was- thurston moore (a hero of becks art the time) sat down with beck to interview him on mtv.. he asked him 1 or 2 normal questions and got one word answers.. after the next question he paused long, did not answer..then took his boot off, turned around and with no emotion, threw it at the back wall of the set..hard enough to knock the wall completely over.. then casually turned and looked at thurston with an obvious, unspoken understanding between them that his boot and fallen stage set, were his answer (and comment on his relationship to interviews).. thurston looked at him, unfazed but clearly happy with this random, altrock anti response.. and continued as though beck had thoughtfully answered.. it was such a funny, authentic act...unforgettable

I still get goosebumps seeing Jon Stewart OWN Tucker in front of an audience.

What about the Steve Irwin interview with Matt Lauer, where Irwin talked the entire time and Lauer could not get a question in for 3 or 4 minutes?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Farrah Fawcett on David Letterman. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEC0tJBOu0s

That's pretty wild isn't it. That looks a lot like the herb to me.

What about Kanye West's "George Bush doesn't care about black people." I loved the awkward look on Mike Myers' face.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HApdYPFwQ8Q
