unrealitymag.com — Remember playing Nintendo as a kid and all of a sudden the game looked kind of funny on the screen? Usually that meant there may have been dust in the cartridge or the game was simply crapping out. Some glitches are visual and some are physical, but these 10 NES game glitches are entertaining to say the least.

I was expecting to see Rygar. In the final castle, you can jump off the edge of the castle onto the next screen where you will land on top of the castle walls.

These are terrible, not funny, and make something out of nothing. DID THAT REALLY GO OVER THE FENCE? HURF, DURF, it's funny because 8-bit games aren't realistic? durrrrrrrr.

I remember the garbled graphics glitches of the NES days all too well. The worst ones came when I was trying to play an RPG like Dragon Warrior because not being able to see/read the text in an RPG can be quite troublesome. Usually when an NES cart glitches out, I would see a series of short lines appear to the left of the screen. Then soon after, more and more would appear in random places until they invaded the entire screen garbling the graphics altogether.I also had an NES system with defective RAM which acted as if I entered a certain game genie code in each and every game (although in most cases, it was unnoticeable):In Megaman 2, I would fall through floors at the start of most levels and the ones that didn't would have an invisible barrier a few feet to the right. The only boss I could get to was Metal Man but you would have to open the left door instead of the right to reach him and metal man was impossible to beat because all shots were invisible. In Mega Man 3 though, I had low gravity and high jump all the time (no game genie). It made some bosses harder though (Top man was actually challenging because it'd take so long to reach the ground). The only problem was that if the area before a boss had a low cieling, megaman would just get stuck in it (so I had to beat each boss without dying once to proceed). In Mega Man 6, the bosses wouldn't appear (I'd be stuck in that room) and my regular shot was replaced with a different graphic (sometimes another enemy) while I was in the boss room. Megaman 4 and 5 worked fine though(and I never tried Mega Man 1 because I didn't have it)In Chip & Dale Rescue Ranges, player 1 would appear about 5 squares lower than his actual position. I got around this by starting a 2 player game and killing off player 1.In Super Mario Brothers 3, It would freeze on the instructions screen whenever I entered the slot machine (where you see mario and toad). The match the cards worked fine for some reason though. This weird system just got worse and worse though and more games would glitch out (some eventually becoming unplayable like Megaman 2)

Bible Adventures - would you believe this game still sells for around $20? That is on par with Zelda and Mike Tyson's Punchout!www.nintendorepairshop.com
