Well, um, uh......I like grilled cheese, too. Don't we all? But, to read a comment like, "I printed the recipe out," just, well, it worries me. The recipe? What recipe? To make a grilled cheese?!? What?!? I already knew all of this, and I bet I could add a couple kick ass things to make the grilled cheese even better. Come on people, this is not tough, and not necessarily digg worthy.

My dad passed this little bit of culinary advice on to me:Have 2 grilled cheese sammiches, the first with ketchup. On the second, spread some smooth creamy honey. Main course and dessert, right there.

Using a mixture of cheeses is fun too, there is no reason to stick with cheddar alone. Covering is a must - good tip. Also, consider serving it with a soup - tomato soup is common but we also like roaster red pepper.... Yum!!! How about roasted red pepper soup and a grill cheese made with pepper jack on sour dough? My dearly missed Grandma used mayo instead of butter... yes, different, but try it, you may like it.

Butter is saturated fats and milk solids. Mayonnaise is vegetable oil and eggs. Both have a few other things like salt added. If you haven't tried mayonnaise on the outside or your grilled cheese, then perhaps you should give it a try. I like it both ways.
