Most of my old computers get demoted into playing old games that no longer run on newer systems. I still have one computer around that I use just to play with good old DOS/Windows 3.11 (that's what we had on our first actual computer so they holds a special place in my heart).Also I like using my older laptop as a cheap internal FTP server (works great, doesn't take up much room and has its own built in power source for when the power goes out).Sometimes older computers are far more useful then most people give them credit for.

well I forgot to add this, but just make it a media center. fill it with harddrives and run some open source media center software on it and your set.
