And once again, one of the simplest money-saving green actions is left off the list.Carry a travel mug for hot drinks. Most coffee shops will give you a discount for bringing your own cup and most people already own at least one.

They're easy to find and not very expensive. You can get a decent steel travel mug almost anywhere and certainly at coffee shops.

I already do this, not because I want to be green, but because their cups and lids suck. Seriously, how does McDonald's have a better lid design than Starbucks?
