Am I crazy or was Avatar better than Hurt Locker? Finally saw Hurt Locker and I have to say I was pretty underwhelmed. I guess that says a lot about how expectations effect your movie viewing. I wasn't expecting much from Avatar, but it was a fun movie. I was expecting a lot from Hurt Locker, and it fell short.
the war is a drug is more than just a quip, it's the theme of the entire movie.But I do agree with you. It didn't put any spin on the war, and if it was right or wrong, it just told the story of some people that it wanted to tell.
Considering he and another ex of his, Gale Anne Hurd, basically handed Kathryn Bigelow her career on a silver platter, a win for her is a win for him anyway.
