That article just made its way into my favorites list.i do love that it hits all the points of hardware and software of the console in comparison to the PS3.Honestly, the attach ratio i was supprised was so low for the xbox. i work at a circuit city, and we sell just as many, if not MORE xbox games than Playstation games. i recently talked to a GameCrazy employee (he came in for a joystick.. i duno, we talked) he said that alot of the rentals and used-games he sells are playstation games, and rarely are too many xbox games returned or sold used.when you consiter how there are 20million xbox's (i duno, may be less) and almost 100 million PS2 sold. it says something. when i had a PS2, i also found myself not wanting to buy any of the games, because i would beat them. and then sell them. they had absolutely zero replay value to me.my Xbox which i still own, i find myself not really renting, but rather buying games, because the games for it are baised around replay value rather than just a unique story that is linear.i guess the PS2 games have better and longer stories than the xbox games, yes, but i do enjoy the ehansed replayability.i guess thats why i enjoyed Oblivion so much, its an RPG, with a great story, and thousands of hours of replayability.
I think what's really holding the xbox 360 back is lack of compatibility with the previous version of the console and lack of exclusive gaming titles. 80%+ of the games for the xbox 360 are PC ports running at lower resolution and worse performance. Microsoft has stooped as low as licensing 80s games for the 360 (frogger, pacman) and selling them for live points, but even there reaction has been cold. What's the point of buying a $400 console to play ancient games, even if they're good? Further, gamers are unhappy with the 360's controller for those classics.
You know what makes me laugh is this couldn't be anymore of a fan-boy if this person tried, already won?.....wtf....? ps2 is still kicking Microsoft's butt with the ps2 what a joke ms has done nothing right with their consoles the first xbox was barely out for 4 years before they made xbox 1.5 you people that blindly support Microsoft are a bunch of fools if you all realized what m$ has planned you wouldn't like them get a life get a job and get a clue the ps3 hasn't been released you are paying $100 more for a far Superior machine if you don't like it don't buy it and everybody that keeps saying oh ps3 is hard to make games for bulls**t on that one so what if we don't have games like wwf raw it will weed out all the crap games.Keep buying your own bulls**t when ps3 owns xbox 1.5 ill be back to say I told you so you xbox fan boys said the same s**t when xbox came out and you continually get stuffed by your own comments lol the ps2 alone is taking on the xbox 1.5 and winning despite the ps2 being 6 years old.you may proceed to digg down now as it is in your mentality's to do so.
Remember the MASSIVE splash Halo 2 made in North America, now look at that compared to the ratio of Xbox's to PS2s. To make that big a splash even though the console itslef is that far behind is kinda amazing. That MASSIVE sales number shows that Halo 2 had something like a 25% market share (of the total xboxs) almost no game gets that kind of sales in the current/next generation (GTA being an exception, but a multi platform exception) Halo 3 will be hugely popular and will sell hundreds of thousands and possibly millions of consoles alone (especially if MS dropps the price of the console to coincide with H3s release). That said, i'm going to be playing with my Wii.

I will not be buying a ps3 due to the pricing as it is just way too unaffordable for me a college student. I don't care what system I own, I care about the games. The whole argument about the systems is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I owned a dreamcast and it's one of my favorite systems to date, why? Because it had amazing games, don't believe me? Ask any reviewer on any major gaming website and they can probably name you at least 10 at the top of their head. It's not about the systems, it's about the games...
having a best friend that owns one is like owning one. i admit the arcade is pretty sweet, geometry wars is awsome. i dont own one becuase its like i alread do. once i see and play a game that makes me go "damn id rather play this at home than at my friends house" then ill buy one. but till then, im fine. not missing out.
