More casual gamers playing the Wii means fewer of their number will infect the other consoles' thriving online communities. I say let Nintendo have them. Regular consumers have no loyalty, and Nintendo will end up regretting leaving gamers in the dust. The NES was an integral part of my growing up (I got mine when I was 9, I think), and without them I probably wouldn't be a gamer today. They've forgotten about people like me; the generation for whom the word "Nintendo" meant "video games". I'm glad to see them being financially successful, but I guess I just grew out of what Nintendo had to offer. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play some Battlefield: BC. Anyone care to join me?

Everyone loves to Bitch about how nintendo is after the "casual gamer", well sorry to bust your balls, but if you don't like it buy a xbox or a ps3, sorry to burst your tiny bubble of a world, but "hard core" gamers aren't the only people on the planet, nintendo has a startegy that's working for them, and as for me, I am an older gamer, and it feels great to play A link to the Past on my tv again instead of on my computer monitor in an emulator. The storage is an issue, hell I hate that I can't store all of my VC games on my conole, but the save stay intact, and if I really want to play a game I can download it again, it's not like they make you buy it again. I have a 360 and a ps3 for hardcore games, and sometimes, I just want a 5 min. pick up and play game, and that's where the wii is appropriate. I think people are making too big a deal out of small things, the Wii is a solid console, just because Nintendo didn't find it appropriate to suck off your particular gaming dick doesn't mean they didn't make a good console.
