HA! My daughter just started her second year of college and there have been some real financial growing pains. It is not that as her parent I am unwilling to fully support her, but rather that I am unable to provide unlimited funds. This year she is in her own apartment, budgeting, working part time and doing okay. She still gives me puppy dog eyes occasionally and I send care packages, but she is doing much better. It was interesting to watch her at the grocery store as she carefully checked the price of each item and reached for generics over name brands. It may be tough love, but it will help her in the end.#7 should be mandatory for everyone regardless of major. Seriously.

Yes, but we're talking about students. If you have a credit card, and even one cent of debt on it, every dollar you spend costs you more than a dollar.Credit card companies stay in business, and thrive, thanks to idiots, and freshman are idiots.
