Didn't I just say that - "Icon is confusing only the first time, if at all. Once you get used to it, you don't even care." So that slight color diff is enough for you to pick up the difference the first time and then you get used to it.Also, positional placement is a critical thing. Once you get used to a certain location for launching Activity Monitor, your hand automatically goes there. You can put Terminal icon in its spot and you will tend to click that to launch Activity Monitor till you readjust. I'm surprised no one mentions that.
