Well there are Stories out there about Admins abusing their power (severity maybe depends on the respective country... seems to me the german admins are more likely to do that than the english ones... then again, I can't say for sure). It's not true, that they don't have more power than the average user. Otherwise they weren't admins... there weren't ANY admins (wich would be better anyway). Afaik they can delete version changes, so that they don't appear in the history and other neat things a normal user can't do.
Well, Google's raking in billions of dollars, so I doubt we're going to see a Bear Sterns-like collapse anytime soon. They get tons of money from advertising (Google ads) and through their other ventures.
