This is a great list if you live in 1999. They didn't list any of the cross-platform standards. XChat? Pidgin/Gaim? Chatzilla? Granted, if i have a 486 in my closet, I'll be installing ircii with a nice script.
Yes I want to argue about your capacity when you posted this. But moreover I want to know how you installed yourself in here with a known system problem. Please run a diag and replace the affected part. Sounds like a system clock issue. Try flashing the bios or replacing the battery.
You could probably skip centerim and use other IM protocols in Irssi or any other IRC client by using Bitlbee (see <a class="user" href="http://www.bitlbee.org">http://www.bitlbee.org</a> ). I've used it together with Irssi for over 6 months and I love it.
