Actually you're wrong. Octopuses is correct, though octopodes is also correct but considered overly pedantic. Octopi is the incorrect plural, because it is based on a false assumption of the etymological roots of "octopus." <a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus#Terminology">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus#Terminology</a>
