Some of those are really good - like the Tacoma billboards and the VW Polo. The Hummer, Australian Officer programme and the bombing ones - not so much. I think there needs to be something absurd in these ads besides making a political statement that is just so blatantly obvious.I'm sure this isn't going to very popular with Diggers but please...tell me something I don't already know. And if it's for the people who still don't know, these ads are not going to penetrate their thick skulls.

Dradis: I am not in the business of defending Adbusters' pricing strategy but what are you saying? that because the magazine claims to be fighting corporation controlled media and public space it needs to be delivered to your house for free...? or for a low price? approx. 75% of newspaper income in democratic states come from advertising, which also means advertisers control, or at least influence, what you and I can or can't know. No commercial sponsors must mean higher subscription price. That's just how it goes. Why should the talented people who write the content in Adbusters should not get paid for their work?ufia: the "indisputable facts" and "truth" referred to in this article are of PM owning the listed food product. I believe that is an indisputable fact. yet, most of the folks buying those products are hardly aware of it. that's it. I think that's enough. and different from a tobacco company claiming that smoking cigarette cures cancer. Don't you agree?

that would have been nice, but no, I don't think this blogger could have...He didn't even point out that the ad with the little girl was offensive because she disappeared. That's kind of a key point to understanding why it was so distasteful. Horribly written.
