Anyone with a basic knowledge of history or astronomy gets it right away. They show you a joke that's kind of funny and a little clever, but then they explain what it is anyway for the people who don't get it, which ruins it all.I understand that people like it, It's just a very predictable show. I've seen about seven or eight episodes (And multiple little clips) and you can see the punchline coming from a mile away. Even if it's a good punchline the surprise is gone, and without that there's nothing. You can like it if you want, but from a purely comedy-as-logic viewpoint, Seinfeld is better.
Totally agree. Reality TV is a great example of "popular and still sucks" but then again, my opinions on music/movies/television have mostly been unpopular.
Corporatism exists because regulation stifles competition and builds barriers to entry, besides the fact that a family of 6(or whatever) could live in a house that size and on their income is a triumph of the limited capitalism we have.

Except a free market has never existed, certainly not in America. The invisible hand is batted away by regulation and corporatism
