I think you've got me slightly confused with the trawls. If you really want to know the deeper roots as to why I posted that, here you go: I'm your average digg user, and I find the comments on most every digg article to be humorous. On occasion, I write my own comments in hope that they're seen as witty and dugg up. However, I think you missed my sarcastic tone.
@meep3d, Your accusation of me is a bit ignorant. I've been using linux almost daily since 2005. I've never had a major issue with copying and pasting. It's different, and yes, more difficult than with windows, but it's not by any means 'a joke'. I agree with your argument about the extra difficulty with the exceptions, and this seems to be a recurring issue across Linux, and it's the reason why I don't recommend linux to the average person.More to the point, if you can't f**king learn how to use copy and paste in linux, you don't need to be using linux.I disagree with your last argument. This 'denying that problems exist' issue is news to me. Perhaps this is specific to distribution, or it's just all in your head. It sounds to me like you don't use linux. And don't hate me for trying to help someone out, as I was. It seems to me that YOU 'are the problem with linux'.
Write something really long, do a Ctrl-X assuming you would now immediately paste it somewhere else, remember that you have something else to copy somewhere else, do a Ctrl-C....Write something really long, ...........

I have been using Yankee Clipper for many years. It does two things - it will remember some huge number of items copied. It will also allow you to create "boiler plates", unlimited in number, which will store specific entries. Alt-B switches between modes. Freeware at http://www.levasseur.net/content/YCP.html.
