gizmodo.com — After decades of popsicle promotions that included prizes printed on the stick, Brazilian ice-cream company Kibon has taken it to a new level by including the actual prize inside the popsicle: they will manufacture 10,000 specially made propsicles, identical in size and color to the actual thing, frozen with iPod shuffles inside.

Some idiot out there will complain to the consumerist how he nearly choked to death after discovering "a shard of plastic and wire" in their icy pole.

Or you could spend the same amount of time doing overtime at your job, and buy one.

guess it's time to buy some more popsicles to my little brother :Por do the metal detector thing, it's the best way imo.Anyway, in a Brazilian article, it was said the fake popsicle was to be made of fiber glass...I wonder then if a slight bump in the freezer walls would deform the real popsicle but not the fake one...

searching through endless amounts of popsicles is a bit to much effort to put in for just an ipod shuffle

Actually, the "fake"popsicles with the iPod inside is the same weight as a regular popsicle, so this wouldn't work.

I did. If I bought a popsicle, I'd expect one, if I got something else instead (ie: an i-pod), I'd have to insist they gave me something I didn't buy. or I could just ebay it and buy more than 1 popsicle...

I like free ipods too. Companies like Transcendent Innovations sounds like a better place to get free ipods then getting one frozen in a popsicle. With this method you can be sure it will work instead of having to dig through the freezer in your Grocery outlet.
