I gave up on digg several months ago. Finally grew terminally sick of reading reams of clueless comments from foul-mouthed d**kh**ds.I stopped by today for the first time in ages, and in reading the comments on this post was forcefully reminded of why I left. I'm quite stunned by the vulgarity, stupidity and outright racism of a depressing number of them.It's sad, although probably inevitable, that digg has become a home for so many lower life forms.Mind you, I suppose it's encouraging to see that all of the most egregiously ignorant and hateful comments have been down-voted into oblivion.

I don't get how whether Obama wins or not show equality? As far as I know Black people have been allowed to run for president for quite some time. I know Jesse Jackson ran in a primary our maybe under the independent party but nothing came of it.Whether someone wins or not depends on how many people think they are good enough to run the country or not, it has nothing to do with the color of their skin. If a asian ran for president and had the exact same ideas as me for the country I would vote him in, if a mexican ran and has my ideas I would vote him in. Color means nothing, We had a disabled president long before we had a black president but it took longer for disabled people to have equal rights than it did black people, go figure.
