Freelance Web Development work has always proved very profitable to me. Whenever I have a spare time, I'll surf around on Craigslist looking for people needing work done. Most of the time, it's a very small website you can pretty much throw together within a few days, and then collect a big paycheck!

outsourcing/freelancing is the way to go - much easier than having employees anyday ! and more work gets done overall !

Freelancers specialize and that makes them great at what they do.

Freelancing is great, but not for everyone. You need great mental strength to handle the rocky financial road. But of course the rewards can be awesome.

This has to be the first "normal" comment thread I've ever seen on digg.

I agree, freelancers are also great workers and the there are lots of them today growing and getting better at their jobs. They use their purpose very well.
