autobloggreen.com — Part bike (the size), part Moonbeam (the fuel efficiency), and part dream, the Naro concept will be at the AFVI Show in Anaheim next week. This tiny car - designed for city use as a personal commuter, a taxi or a delivery vehicle - gets over 100 miles per gallon and has room for two. Imagine your next pizza being delivered in one of these

Well, here's your chance to go to the show and take lots of pictures for your fellow Digg users... :-)

I don't understand what the fuss is about. The Audi A2 1.2 TDI diesel does 126mpg, and has been available since 2000. Even better, it isn't a freaky 4 wheel bike, but a normal car.http://www.audiworld.com/news/99/a2_2/content.shtml

Show me a 100mpg car that can survive on the freeways and I'll buy it. Honestly, how many Americans can get enough use out of car that isn't built for the freeway?

"So...a 100mpg vehicle (where mpg equals miles per GALLON of GASOLINE) is better than an electric that can accomplish the same thing, in a much cleaner way?"And how is a SINGLE vehicle that relies on coal for electricity and nickel mining and processing for batteries (which causes acid rain and complete decimation of the environment around the processing plants) any cleaner than a SINGLE high-mpg gasoline vehicle?People keep forgetting that we don't get the vast majority of our electricity from clean sources NOW. What we truly need to do is come up with clean sources of electricity (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integral_Fast_Reactor ), make big strides in more efficient and environmentally friendly batteries...and THEN make a major push towards electric vehicles. Otherwise, we're just trading one form of pollution for another.

Wake up and smell the exhaust Diggers! I'm living in Germany and I can tell you that while this vehicle would look a little odd on the European roadways (or any roadway), it would not be the target for such silly vitriolic comments. Cars here are smaller across the board, and the ONLY trucks on the roads belong to Americans. When a major purchasing decsion centers on "WHEN will an SUV hit me?" perhaps your priorities are a little skewed. In Germany you can go into the local supermarket (yes - where they sell the groceries) and purchase a 50cc moped for only a few hundred Euro. These things are all over the roads, and, despite their LOW speed, I have never seen one in an accident, (much less hit by an SUV). Quit wracking your brains for excuses to hate this little putt-putt, and start examining why you value what you value! Peace!

100km per gallon, not 100mi per gallon.

People are in constant denial over the dangers of driving. I especially love the Hindenberg references every time hydrogen is mentioned, as if gasoline doesn't burn. Driving is risky, period. Obviously you want a safe car, but you also have to drive defensively. Think proactively. Give lots of clearance between you and other cars. Expect people to turn without signalling and go through red lights. Stay away from big-rigs. And don't constantly drive around. Try to make the most from your trips and you'll lower your gas consumption and reduce the probability of getting into an accident.

Not a CONCEPT car: 2009 Toyota Prius = 80+ actual MPG... Watch the other hybrid makers cry all night long. http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/new_cars/4212545.html
