Wow, Ron Paul predicted that a limited resource would eventually get more and more difficult to extract and thus become more scarce and expensive? A third grader with a basic understanding of supply and demand could have predicted that.
An 18 volt Lithium Ion Battery for my Riobi drill costs about $200 (with charger) I don't even want to know how many of those it would take to move a car. Hopefully battery prices will come down soon!
No point looking at the value of Oil in dollars anymore. While it's still priced in dollars it is certainly not valued in dollars. It would be better if the international community were to come up with a standard IMF unit of currency to price Oil so that a weak US economy doesn't make the rest of the world think armageddon is coming. For now the Euro gives a much more realistic picture of Oil values.
