The tone of this posting is particularly offensive. Should a Jewish American man from Seattle be demonized because he is philanthropic and has donated money to Jewish causes? And therefore, as the original comment suggests, are hooligans justified in committing acts of vandalism and terror in the name of "corporate vandalizing?" Chilling. But then, we have been hearing calls for Jews to go "back to the ovens" of late.
Yeah, but if they would have taken the oppurtunity to build a city rather than a launchpad for terrorism , they would have places to shop. Israel left greenhouses.. they destroyed it rather than take advantage of the fact that they can grow bug free vegetables and actually make money with that. They could have made a shopping center .. When the Israelis first started the state they got to work. They plowed fields and did WHATEVER it took to get themnselves settled. Instead of shooting rockets to gain more land, logic would have dictated that they build up what they got and only THEN go for more.. Also, if they knew that they would want to fight for more they should have made sure that the city was equipped with shelters and the like. They could do fundraising throughout the Arab world and beyond to get themselves set up..
Those guys who smashed into the Starbucks and grabbed a muffin aren't protesters, they are looters. When you get a crowd of 100'000 you know there would have to be a % of that interested in just attacking authority, be it police or establishments. They are the bad seeds in the protest, unfortunately a small number of people can do a LOT of damage, The media wants people to believe all the protesters are violent and looters, hence their coverage, emphasizing a couple of smashed shops and barriers. It's always the case, those with power will attempt to portray peace protesters in a negative light, when those protests go against their agendas (Iraq or vietnam or gaza).
Look like media propaganda has worked on you. Don't let the actions of a couple of 100 hooligans (hooligans common in Britain I hear) deter you from the real message - 100'000 peace protesters, who acted peacefully and had a coherent message. However the other possible conclusion I get from your statement is that you are a zionist and want to kill hamas, gaza's residents, state of palestine and more.

I was there and I think it was a great example of how the people won't just sit back and let things happen. We all love to interfere.
