WOW, I never expected that. That has to go down as top 5 trick football plays in history.
dare978devilNov 8, 2010
Honestly, I don't get it. Why didn't the other team just tackle him? There was an obvious snap, why did they let him stroll through the defensive line?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
porpoise921Nov 8, 2010
That was an obvious snap? Do you watch football? That looked nothing like a snap... if I was on a middle school defense I would be confused too.
7jbdwNov 8, 2010
This one was on REAL TV (With amhad rishad) back in the day. He did a side snap which is legal and presumably the kid was yelling 'wrong ball' or something of the sort to give a bogus reason why he just starts walking
dare978devilNov 8, 2010
Yeah, I was fully expecting the "wrong ball" play when I read the digg headline. Nothing at all against the team which pulled the trick play, but couldn't help but wonder why the other team just let him prance up the middle.
cvaldesloraNov 8, 2010
I had the same initial thought. I assumed they didn't bum rush the QB because it didn't look like a legitimate snap, but there's more to it. The main reason they didn't mentally register the snap is also the reason this play is so baller...
Because the offensive line did NOT budge when the snap was executed; only until the QB took off did they jump into action. Had there been sudden mass movement at the start, the defensive linemen would have definitely taken the kid down.
bobboqNov 8, 2010
I like this execution better.

That play doesn't always work, here it is getting shut down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQbAP-K28J8

Yeah, everyone has access to youtube these days :-)
ciarNov 8, 2010
I wish someone had shut that song down instead.
ICISICNov 8, 2010
I would love to see that tried in the NFL.
donkeybonggggNov 9, 2010
As soon as the ball physically moves, defense would already have moved in. No need for any verbal count. There wouldnt be any confusion...just the dumbest embarrassment in the history of NFL.
whokilledfleaNov 8, 2010
hut, hut, *lesurely stroll through the defense* truely the game of gods
pharmermikeNov 8, 2010
Wow! An actual QB sneak... Snuck right past them!
johnqharvardNov 8, 2010
And that's what happens when geeks play football.
addiktionNov 8, 2010
Epic trickery. Give this kid some more candy.
pixxeljunkieNov 8, 2010

I call it 'The Annexation of Puerto Rico'.
theweakerthansNov 9, 2010
Yeah, but Corpus wouldn't care about Puerto Rico. Give em something they want...this is a highly mexican populated city. Viva Corpitos!
delt145Nov 8, 2010
this was a great play.
roebuckNov 8, 2010
Actually, this would probably only work at the middle school level. I remember once when I was playing Jr High ball the horn blew to end the quarter, everybody stopped, and then the runner realized that he could still keep going. Touchdown.
Props to the coach for teaching his kids this one. It will probably be the highlight of their football careers.
nedzeveNov 8, 2010
Which puts it high in the running for "highlight of their lives".

Really? Props to that coach? More like "pink slip to that coach." There is no way he should be coaching kids with such cheap ass plays like that. Even at that level the kid who did this is lucky he didn't leave the game on a stretcher the next time he touched the ball.
Coaces should not be teaching kids dumb s**t like that at ANY level.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
al3efromanNov 8, 2010
Dumb? They played a smart play. Football is just as much about finesse as it is brute force. Maybe the other coach should brush up on snap fundamentals with his team. They scored on a solid understanding of the fundamentals. 2-point conversions must really tear you up inside.

No...it is a bush league play that will get your players injured in any other level.
Just because iti s legal doesn't mean tht it is not a piece of s**t move to do.
It is clear you have never played sports in your life. Sorry you got picked last all the time but please realize that you should NEVER talk about things that you don't know. NO self respecting coach would pull s**t like that at any level.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
al3efromanNov 9, 2010
Calm down. Why are you letting this affect you as much as it is? The ball is in play until an official says otherwise, Mr.Tough Sports Guy
Closed AccountNov 9, 2010
How the f**k did you get so bad at reading comprehension. AQt NO point did I say it was an illegal play. I said it was a piece of s**t bush league play that NO at competitive sports person would ever approve of.
I realize you are too fat to see your feet and as such would piss your pants at the thought of playing a sport. Butthat doesn't change the fact that you ar a f**king piece of s**t if you think this is agood play or that the coach should be commended. Actually, in many cases where coaches do s**t like this, they ARE fired after the season. Because parents threaten to take their kids off his team.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Dirty, just plain dirty... Wish we would have run this in highschool
DallasWNov 8, 2010
There would be fines in the NFL.
Closed AccountNov 8, 2010
You are right, because the QB would eventually leave the game on a stretcher if he tried such a bush league play.
ianzuNov 9, 2010
No he wouldn't. Stop being such a baby.

(b) The impulse must be given by one quick and continuous motion
Didn't look like a quick motion to me.
heresy_fnordNov 8, 2010
That was my thinking as well. I guess it is down to the ref to throw a flag at that point. Basically if the ref doesn't stop play you keep going.
gerphimumNov 8, 2010
awesome
thechravelerNov 8, 2010
Why didn't they tackle him? Cuz they friggin middle schoolers. However, props to that lil guy who almost grabbed him

Flint Hills High School in Rosalia, KS did this several years ago and a few of the seniors on the team were able to go on Letterman after it worked so well several times.
