Pure money-grubbing, ubiquitous...
novenatorFeb 3, 2012
Agreed. This type of greed should not be allowed.
sloppyjoes7Feb 3, 2012
So, if I'm renting out a room, and I want to raise the rent due to increased demand, your reaction is I should be denied basic property rights?
penglustFeb 4, 2012
No my reaction is don't be a douche bag.
sloppyjoes7Feb 4, 2012
Telling someone he's being a jerk, or that he's doing something wrong, is one thing.
Saying it "should not be allowed" is another.
penglustFeb 4, 2012
Too some extent is should be. Nations take on the Olympics and it should not be allowed to screw over a class of people while doing so.
xaulted1Feb 4, 2012
no, I guess in that case you are free to be as much of a greedy, rat bag, selfish, fkwit as you wish. I would also hope, in such a hypothetical case of course, the karma (by universal decree or a very angry homeless tenant) would leave you wondering if it was worth grubbing the couple extra bucks.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
sloppyjoes7Feb 4, 2012
You're missing the point entirely.
I'm questioning why people would so quickly seek to deny people rights over their own property.
stevanoskiFeb 4, 2012
The Left has no idea what you are talking about when you mention property in the private sense.
strenothFeb 3, 2012
I think all the tenants shoudl buy new deadbolts and refuse to move.
Yes, the police can kick them out by force, but if they ALL do it, or at least most, it's going to make a huge hassle and make it even more public, and the police are going to not want to deal with it.

move for money..pathetic...this i'd expect from france not from the uk.
this kids is why you buy a home not rent for years on end.
cavimikeFeb 3, 2012
I foresee the bodies of many landlords washing up on the banks of river Thames...
theskyriderFeb 4, 2012
or a boom in the sale of construction materials as the people being evicted take everything including the kitchen sink with them. (Pacific Heights, great movie.)
stevanoskiFeb 4, 2012
Yep, for the Left violence is the only solution. Good job.
rotfoxFeb 3, 2012
Olympic booms only last for a while. While I agree that landlords should be able to do what they want (as long as they follow the agreements they signed) it's still a dick move.
Hopefully the tenants can all find affordable housing.

Greed strikes again.
stevanoskiFeb 4, 2012
And I bet you think you are not greedy. You are some kind of messiah? LOL you hypocrite.
