I can't quite tell if you're joking, or you're really that much of an idiot.
nithin009Jul 10, 2010
Don't blame it on octopus. Germany weren't good enough. Serbia defeated them. England had a goal disallowed and a shot on post. Luck was with germany, couple with youth exuberance. In the end,it bursted. Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
doomesticJul 10, 2010
Wtf are you on? Serbia defeated them with a very unwarranted red card for Klose and a s**t storm of retarded yellow cards. Besides, Spain lost to f**king Switzerland.
Even if that goal against England was counted, the tide was going with Germany. They simply owned England in midfield. Argentina was raped. If you call that luck you then I suppose all football games are purely luck. Spain barely won against Germany with a set piece header from a defender. Whoopie f**king doo.
eslamicolt3Jul 10, 2010
Actually Germany was probably the best team out there this year, save for maybe Holland.
wasmachienJul 10, 2010
Germany was the best team this year after Spain. Holland played efficiently but it wasn't always pretty to watch.

Poor Paul. All the death threats must really get him down.

This was a little funny passing around the office yesterday morning (as a follow up to an earlier image showing why Germany would win)
For those quick trends that are worth a chuckle and soon moved on from, Digg is always laughing at yesterday's joke

I hate people who go onto the internet, find something they've seen before and then comment that they've seen it already.

Double World Cup rainbow all the way across the century!

Spain kept posession, no real rocket science. The team which scores wins. Don't blame referee for not scoring. Podolski had a chance to score against serbia from spot. Some people think, football is all about attacking. You forget the fact that, at times more than brilliance, the faults from opponents yields goals.Australia were just too easy for germany without any resilience at back, though they attacked without much penetration. Ghana, they had fair share of chances. That was 1-0 win for germany. Spain owned the match against swiss, at the end of the day , swiss scored and they won. Germany was a surprise package, with some new exciting players making impact. Well, talent alone don't win matches for teams. Germany was totally off on two days, and they lost both matches.

What's the in your hand? Back at me. I have it. It's a JPEG with a prediction about that thing you're watching. Look again. The prediction is now bacon. Anything is possible when your prediction is made by an octopus and not experts. I'm on a horse.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I have to digg you up just for saying it.
diceauJul 10, 2010
Old spice commercials, youtube 'em.
tcquadJul 10, 2010
Oops, there's a typo. It should be "What's that in your hand?" Hopefully that makes a little more sense. It is, as diceau mentioned, a parody of the Old Spice "I'm on a horse" commercial.
Also, to belabor the joke, when the original image came out, it was a series of semi-circles used to "predict" the result of the World Cup. The octopus pulls off the circle and now it looks like bacon. Mmmm... Bacon.

Ahh, thanks for the explanation. I torrent all my TV shows so I never see commercials :P

we need to destroy them before they get too powerful!

I don't get it.
autobulbJul 10, 2010
I'll help ya. Someone had put out an image similar to this showing a pattern of World Cup winners. According to the pattern Germany was supposed to win this year. At the same time there had been news articles about an octopus that would 'predict' the winner of certain matches by presenting him with two boxes of food with flags on them. The box that he chose to get the food out of would show the flag of the upcoming winner. I'm not sure how many times he did it but he had been right thus far. For the Germany-Spain match he 'chose' Spain, and they won. So this new graphic shows the octopus interfering with the German stripe that is the predicted path of the winner for this year.
tecuervoJul 10, 2010
It is a known fact that the octopus is a follower of the Real Madrid. I think its opinion is biased.
