Italian food (all), chinese food (especially dimsum), japanese food (especially sushi) are all much better than french food (dont put cheese on my steak) which is too heavy and rich fo me. French food is lauded for being fancy but I much prefer fresh, simple ingredients cooked well (or not at all). Because Domenech was fired before the World Cup but they sent him instead of his replacement for some reason. Talking to him would be tantamount to political suicide, Henry on the other hand looks good because he is a national sports hero.

I really hope Argentina win. If they don't its gonna be Brazil (who are looking great) but if Brazil win they'll have won 6 world cups. The next one is in Brazil so with home advantage that will put them on 7 cups if they win. Italy are second with 4 currently. The jump for 4-5 to 4-7 will be hard to claw back... Not that Brazil don't deserve to dominate - should be on 6 already bar that ridiculous bs that gave France a world cup when Ronaldo had a fit before the game - but I love the Italy Brazil games when both teams are on form - the clash of the titans as far as football is concerned.

FIFA shouldn't stay out of it because it breaks one of the cardinal rules of the organization. FIFA doesn't want decisions being made for the teams and soccer federations by government officials.
The French government doesn't get to make decisions on French soccer.

f**k that. The last thing I want in soccer is NFL-style replays with refs huddled under hooded screens. You don't stop the clock in soccer like american football.
Keep it simple. We don't need to review every single offside penalty or foul. Just goals since they're scarce and they're all that matters in the end.
Instead get NHL style technology. Put chips in the balls and at the goal line so a light or sound goes off when the ball breaks the goal line plane. Simple, effective, and indisputable.

Just do it like rugby, the only time video is allowed to be used is when they are unsure if the ball was grounded or if they were in touch before grounding.
Video is not allowed for anything else, even if during a review for the grounding of a try you can see one player hit another player you can't give a penalty for it!

Players don't protest the call for more than a minute or two. The clock keeps on running and they don't have time to waste.
An NFL-style instant replay? Easily a 10 minute delay while the ref watches the play over and over again from 10 different camera angles. Are they going to pause the game while this happens? Any sort of video replay would be disruptive to the flow of the game and I guarantee that if coaches are given some sort of challenge flag, they will exploit it to give their guys a rest or to slow an opposing team's momentum.

Not NFL style. Just have an extra ref upstairs conduct a mandatory 30 second review of any goal. The ref on the field already has a headset on, it's simple and won't be disruptive. Just add 30 seconds of added time for goals.
