Everyone should boycott Digg on Monday.

NFL - Twitter - Social Media = Disaster? Am I conflicted on this Twitter hype?
chrissayboAug 24, 2010
this will only inspire him more

where have you been?
parrappaAug 24, 2010
I love Ochocinco. He's hilarious and great for football.
ScottyTomaierAug 26, 2010
Note to self" Stop Tweeting at work, in federal buildings, and on the airplane." =/

every day i wake up and ask myself WWOCD?

He really has a problem.
inkswampAug 25, 2010
If only this could happen to other people on Twitter.
strfxAug 25, 2010
His comment on it: "Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of my Bugatti payments you just took from me, I won't do it again". Awesome.
damnlagcomAug 25, 2010
No Fun League.
dreamvsps2Aug 25, 2010
i wish i was rich :(
lovewidescreenAug 25, 2010
Yeah, but I've heard a lot of speculation the he does this sort of thing intentionally. Penalties taken by the NFL are given to various charity organizations, and Ochocinco has been known to match those penalties by giving the same amount to his own charities. Some of my friends who practically eat, sleep, and breathe NFL are pretty sure that he does this to trigger gifts to charities.
Now, why he wouldn't do this on his own is up for debate; however, if he's going to give to charity, why not do it while doing something that he wants to do but isn't supposed to do? Seems like a win-win to me.
rambomcflyAug 25, 2010
This gives him publicity. $25,000 probably couldn't buy the advertisement he gets from doing things like this.
juanie251Aug 25, 2010
It's stupid s**t like this that the NFL does that pisses me off. Players get fined for fistbumping a fan after a touchdown, or doing a silly victory dance. But posting a f**king tweet, are you serious? Bet they wouldnt have said anything if he was answering a text from a dying family member.
antimrbabymanAug 25, 2010
Good point. I just think that everywhere I go I see people with their cell phones attached to their palms, call me old fashioned but it's kind of annoying...
Also, these players make way to much a year to start a trend like this (during gametime that is).
itwasonlyajokeAug 25, 2010
Chad 85?
digg2point0Aug 25, 2010
EightFive, not 85 (eightyfive)
pappy97Aug 25, 2010
And you are right as a non-sports fan to think he's an idiot since "eighty-five" in Spanish is "ochenta y cinco." Nobody reads the number on the back of his jersey as "eight-five," so of course "Ochocinco" makes no sense whatsoever.
itwasonlyajokeAug 25, 2010
Correct you are. I, for one, dugg you up!
itwasonlyajokeAug 25, 2010
Thanks for burying me you meanies!
*sniff*
pappy97Aug 25, 2010
I thought this year he was going to change his name to Chad Hachi Go.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Ochocinco
"Ochocinco announced on his live USTREAM broadcast that he will be legally changing his last name to “Hachi Go” next season. He also held up a Customized Cincinnati Bengals Jersey with the last name "Hachi Go" on the back. Just as the words Ocho Cinco translate to 8 and 5 in Spanish, the words Hachi Go (八五) translate to 8 and 5 in Japanese"
I guess now that less people care about his antics, he isn't going to go through with these announced stunts anymore.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Funny, his job doesn't let him tweet.
And I got my job through Tweeting.

crimsonrisingAug 25, 2010
Pff, $25,000 is pocket change...
I would have just given them the $25,000 and continued to tweet just to show them old fools up.

Welcome to New Digg! A 1 day 8 hr old story from a user with lots of followers gets a FP at 288 Diggs, after 8.5 hrs of inactivity.
This 4.5 hrs old story with 391 diggs is lost someplace still...

why can't i see any f'ing comments when i view this page... and why does the "home button" fail (digg logo in upper left corner). And why does "give us feedback" time out. and why is the text in this comment box light blue. arrrrrrgh
mikbunnAug 26, 2010
The old stories being sent to the front page will be fixed by tomorrow. It's just a side effect of Digg 4 not recognizing things having been previously promoted.
Everything else that's s**tty about the new digg will remain, though. LAAAAME.

angelsfreeekAug 26, 2010
25k for using Twitter? That's insane. There are probably a laundry list of minor and possibly not-so-minor crimes that you'd get fined less for.
CBSSportsAug 26, 2010
You've got to love when a player apologizes for his rule-breaking tweet by sending another, albeit "legal" tweet. If Ochocinco is this entertaining during preseason, he and T.O. are going to be a hit once the season starts.

Man, I thought MY data plan was expensive!
chrisharrisnflAug 26, 2010
Note to self: Don't make same mistake.

I think Ocho is hilarious but "child please" is lame.
