Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."
"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"
His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.
Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
crossmrAug 25, 2010
This would have been a great joke when bush was president..
synchroAug 25, 2010
It was. That is how old the joke is sadly.
moderndaydarwinAug 25, 2010
this joke has been in use long before either of those presidents, and probably longer than myself and many Diggers have been alive.
enclavedAug 25, 2010
No, it doesn't matter when since the inclusion of Rumsfeld limits it to two possible people.
wolfkeeperAug 27, 2010
it's more than azillion and less than a crazillion?

peanutcheesebarAug 25, 2010
Guess the referee wasn't a cut above the rest.
pablocblancoAug 25, 2010
Not my favorite comment ever, but I can't blame you for taking a stab at it.
itsnickkAug 25, 2010
wow these puns are impressive, you two must be pretty sharp.
michaelgurbiszAug 25, 2010
I'm on the edge of laughter with this one!
pafectAug 25, 2010
"Officials hit finally back" - nice grammar.
kyle212Aug 25, 2010
The player's nickname was finally. Duh
lordfateAug 25, 2010
Leave Finally alone!!!
supersh1t666Aug 25, 2010
Officials finally hit back - yes
Officials hit back finally - yes
Well done for using the only wrong combination!!
pafectAug 25, 2010
Nice.. I think we got him.
artoverbyAug 25, 2010
I hate Twizzlers...
Yuck
andyswanAug 25, 2010
A fairly sharp way of handling the situation.
artosrcAug 25, 2010
That's a pretty good acting job by the player.

Soccer + Brazil = Serious Business.

Soccer + Brazil = Serious Lameness.

niubaiAug 25, 2010
It was an amateur game in a remote northeast small town. Nothing to do with any Brazilian league.
bryancampAug 25, 2010
Oh. In that case, it doesn't matter.
niubaiAug 25, 2010
Of course it matters, any life matters. I'm just saying that before anyone comes with "OMFG, he could have killed Kaká or Ronaldinho".
wolfkeeperAug 27, 2010
Not really. Not unless it's a cat that was harmed, because then it's caturday.
They should have mentioned that he stabbed a cat on the way out, and he would be in custody by now.

Kill the referee!

Just to give a better perspective since the article provides minimal data:
- Both teams, Cajueiro and Boa-Fé, were amateur teams.
- The town of Barriera is located 74km from the state capital Fortaleza.
- The player kicked the referee who fell and quickly pulled out his knife.
- The match occurred in a rural zone which helped the referee escape.
- The referee is on the run.
- The referee wasn't registered, he just knew the rules of the game and was frequently called to help.

Slow day at the office, huh?
lust4meAug 25, 2010
From the comments below the linked article:
You bleeping sensationalist idiots, it was a street game, not an official one [...] The “referee” is not a true referee
whipnetAug 25, 2010
So why is it on the front page of Digg? Oh yeah... it's Digg.
defconxAug 25, 2010
Why did they hit Finally back? What did Finally ever do to them?
hawaiianruleAug 25, 2010
Man, the World Cup is going to be so awesome in Brazil! I can't wait!

Did they fall down holding their ankles?
krisc65Aug 25, 2010
WTF? How is he "on the run"? Aren't there security guards at these things?
lethargicmonkeyAug 25, 2010
this article kind of failed at "reporting," imo.
