I'm a denier, the world's not on fire, it's just a lie. :)

Glad to hear we're likely in for warm weather in 2011.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
cherwilcoJan 30, 2011
you wouldn't be glad about that if you lived down here in Tucson
realcoolguy9022Jan 30, 2011
Hey, I don't exactly see you shoveling 5 feet of snow off your driveway either.
rjeyJan 30, 2011
Yes, because it's never hot in Arizona regardless. . . . . .
cherwilcoJan 30, 2011
110-115 here in tucson and phoenix is hot enough. throw in much more and people start dying
stuffradioJan 30, 2011
BC has lots of forest fires every year.
bobosmitorJan 29, 2011
It's interesting that "the first 10 years of this century were the hottest decade".
I have 3 feet of snow out there, and last summer was a dud here. Overall the weather patterns seemed to have changed. And not for the better.
realcoolguy9022Jan 29, 2011
It's interesting to do a cost/benefit analysis of what would the effects of warming be. Overwhelmingly warming is more beneficial for mankind than cooling. Then again we have people that have financial interests in this religion, and others who have bought into it.
When discussing CO2 and planet warmth, while you can draw a parallel between the two, it should be noted that temperature actually leads CO2, which indicates that CO2 may simply be an effect of warming and not the cause. Eh, whatever, those who fight global warming still lose on both fronts.
1. Warming is better than cooling (or even status-quo) for man kind as a whole.
2. Destroying our economic way of life over CO2 makes no sense when #1 is true.
Arguing for reduced CO2 emissions is lose/lose.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
goweigusJan 30, 2011
That is if one assumes that reducing CO2 emissions would lead to global cooling instead of global warming.
I don't believe mankind is as responsible for the Climate/Weather as it seems to think, but I certainly don't believe that attempting to reduce CO2 emissions as a species will cool the planet down enough to scare us.
norman619Jan 30, 2011
It's already been done. A warmer world is far better. Opens up land that isn't currently available to farming and other uses.
novenatorJan 30, 2011
Well by that logic, we should try to burn up our fossils fuels as fast as we can! Let's try to warm the planet by 50 degrees, just *think* about all the crops we can grow then...we can even start planting in Antarctica!
goweigusJan 30, 2011
They have changed relative to what period without change?
norman619Jan 30, 2011
Weather patterns change. Both climate and weather are dynamic. Change is the norm. Sorry to hear the changes aren't to your liking.

Weather forecast for the year 2099. Summer in the cold (-30°C). Hot Winter (+40°C)..... Anyone believe it? Can I ask the fairies ...
Pure Madness.
cherwilcoJan 30, 2011
so many commenters who didn't bother to read the article or watch the included video.
"climate change isn't real because I have snow outside my door" ~climate change effects weather patterns in different locales differently for instance, I live in Tucson...it will be f**k hot this summer
"lets all do a cost/benefit analysis of a warmer climate"~ its only cheaper if you live somewhere that you currently have to heat your home for extended months (what about the areas where we already have to COOL our homes 8 months out of the year huh?)
"Latest News from the dopey enviro-moonbats:" ~you are a maniacal idiot. you absolutely never bring anything of relevance to the discussion and I sincerely hope you stop wasting air for others to breathe!
also remember, its the media that calls it global warming, actual scientists (ie: not hired by any oil or coal industry execs) call it climate change

Ahhhh! You are another one of those "Every scientist that disagree with me is a FAKE one paid for by ther opposition" people! And YOU are mocking others?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
davidtcJan 30, 2011
They call it climate change now cause calling it global warming turned out to be wrong.
cherwilcoJan 30, 2011
except when the climate scientists released their findings for the first time it was called climate change. some reporter in the 80's called it global warming and the name stuck.
5urr3al5amJan 30, 2011
@davidtc -- yeah and it was global cooling in the 70s
novenatorJan 30, 2011
No, it was not.
ferretmanJan 30, 2011
Yes it was...I was there, the discussion was *everywhere*.
novenatorJan 30, 2011
No, you were not, and if you were you could properly cite it (which you can't, except perhaps for one article in a popular magazine that wasn't really cited in the first place)
christopherfranJan 30, 2011
i wish this was the forecast for my love life. just sayin

anomaly100Jan 30, 2011
I have lived in the South. Yuck. I love the winter. I even went out during the blizzard here in NYC. The winter here is beautiful!
macbookformeJan 30, 2011Submitter
I was used to very low temperateures, cold wind, ice & snow in the mountains of East. & Central Europe ... now in London, which is pretty mild, but I do lack sunshine & some real heat here
anomaly100Jan 30, 2011
I lived in London for 6 or so years. I miss it.
macbookformeJan 30, 2011Submitter
Click ... we just found another common denominator...:)
anomaly100Jan 30, 2011
I lived in the Ladbroke Grove - Notting Hill area. I lived overseas for 16 years & miss it a lot. I need to go back for a visit when I can.
And yes, another common denominator indeed;-)
norman619Jan 30, 2011
I prefer warm and dry. The ideal is the southwest.

I hoipe so. I LOVED last summer when it was nice and hot.
slapchopJan 30, 2011
We won't have any progress in stopping climate change if we don't dispel the apathy and denial among the public. We are at the threshold of warming by 1 degree from the pre-industrial era. That doesn't mean that it is a piddly 1 degree warmer outside, that means that climate systems screw up all over. In Toronto, we haven't had a snowfall large enough to cancel school in over 2 years. Meanwhile, in Vancouver which is milder than Toronto and where they rarely see sub-zero temperatures, they have been getting pounded by snowstorms these last couple of years.
tao52nycJan 30, 2011
Bring on the global warming!
ferretmanJan 30, 2011
Isn't this the same group that has been claiming "massive hurricane seasons' for the last few years....?
Yeah, I think I'll look for a group that's got a better track record....
