very nice map. Fairly accurate too from the few locations I've looked up. Not a huge change just more detailed to take terrain into consideration. Although this map does not take into consideration quality of life. It's much warmer in areas with chinook winds even though it might be in the same zone just because it 'can' get that cold doesn't factor in average temperatures. A nice detailed average temperature map for each season would be nifty to have.

It's much warmer in Rapid City, SD than in Brookings, SD. Night and day. However Rapid City can actually get freezing spells later in spring and earlier in fall due to the drier air.

We also have plant breeds now that can handle a wider degree of climates.

I think we even have wheat with icefish DNA in it so produces it's own antifreeze.
